Ask HN: What are our marketing channels?
We're a very small team (3) building a startup in Egypt that makes money transfer as easy and fast as WhatsApp.
Basically, this done by connecting your bank account to our app, and then choose one of your contacts list to send them any amount of money, we charge 1% with a max cap of EGP 100. Later, the recipient chooses the account they would like to receive the money to. That easily.
While I'm working on this product, I'm also a full-time software engineer in another company. I see this as a marketing channel to market the app. I tell people about it every day when they need to split their food bill, or when they want to transfer money at the start of a month.
The only problem I see is that I can't directly find our targeted users to talk to them about the app, and I'm writing here to discuss your suggestions.
