Thinking globally, which working arrangement allows me to save the most in 1yr
My goal is simple: Save the most money possible in 2020, and concentrate on doing meaningful work for myself in 2021.
In your experience, which kind of working arrangement, tax regime, etc is the most efficient at building up savings? I can relocate anywhere i wish, no limits whatsoever.
Freelancing is game, being employed is game, but working remote is not, because high pay remote work is extremely difficult to come around and I've never seen it in practice.
Out of the box solutions with tax residency in one country but work in another are also encouraged, as long as IT work exists in that region :)
I don't want to cut back massively on my lifestyle. Here in the Netherlands i live in a nice studio, and have a burnrate of about 3k/eur/mo . I tend to live rather frugally. No massive expenses.
I'm a software consultant. I build stuff, frontends, backends, doesn't really matter what.
I currently reside in the Netherlands, where expats like myself got a 30% tax break on their yearly gross, but I've lost that privilege now. Time to move on... I have EU and US citizenships, so the world is my oyster.
I'm wondering what my next step should be.
