Ask HN: What's with all environmental disaster stories on HN?
Has anyone else noticed that HN has thing for environmental catastrophe stories -- e.g. shrinking aspen, dying insects, ocean plastic etc? Interesting given it's probably an ancillary interest of the main, tech/startup oriented audience it is. I'd be surprised if these one-off horror stories are really providing a complete, unbiased look at the global environment.
