Ask HN: Do you use M4 in production?
I've been trying out M4 a bit lately for code generation. I find it concise and expressive, but also challenging when the macros become a little more complex. Do you use it in production, and for what purposes? I used M4 15 years ago to configure multiple systems (PHP, MySQL, Apache.) that were delivered in a bundle. Since then, I haven't.
