Ask HN: What companies are doing “Software on Linux” right?
I have recently launched https://www.softwareonlinux.com with the aim to map the demand for specific programs on Linux. I believe that given sufficient demand, software vendors may be convinced to support Linux "natively". I also think that an increase in the availability of popular programs on Linux could spur adoption of Linux.
I would like to learn about the companies that you think are treating Linux as a first-class citizen. I think these companies could become ambassadors for software on Linux, and could share their lessons learned about building products for multiple operating systems.
One of my personal favorites is Spotify. Please share yours.
