I've noticed that some people think marketing is bad/dirty/manipulative -- that facts alone should persuade people to change their behavior. But actually, this rarely works. We need MORE, BETTER marketing. I've written a long essay about how this works with personal finance and politics, but it's also relevant to tech startups.
