Ask HN: Good intro book on AI for a non-IT professional?
One of the projects I may be getting involved with at work has a strong AI component. Not only that but this is a topic that seems will only be if increasing importance in life. Is there any book/website that gives a good intro and/or current state of play of the field for someone who's a scientist but has never taken a CompSci class in their life? It's something I'm interested in, plus would rather not look like an idiot when talking to my colleagues.
