Ask HN: How to publish work to journals with free software
Many journals require Times New Roman and Microsoft Word formats for acceptance. How does a young academic go about getting their work published in these cases. Liberation Serif is a close match, but not accepted. Of course one can use LibreOffice but export as docx but at times the formatting changes and it doesn't solve the root problem.
