Ask HN: What are the downsides of Series A funding for the founder?
Hi folks!
I would appreciate to hear what HN thinks of the baggage Series A funding brings over, if any. Kindly know that I am aware of the value of funding, especially when used as growth capital.
Loss of equity is obvious to all of us, so it would be great if you could expound on the issues around loss of control (vision, growth rate, hiring etc) and any others that come to your mind. Thanks!
