Hey X‑Plane Pilots,

We’re excited to share some special news: X-Plane is coming to Apple Vision Pro with NVIDIA CloudXR 6.0.

Later this spring, with NVIDIA CloudXR 6.0 for visionOS 26.4, Apple Vision Pro users will be able to stream immersive PC and cloud-based experiences from NVIDIA RTX systems, including X-Plane 12.

Spatial computing gives players a whole new way to experience their favorite games. With Apple Vision Pro and your current flight‑sim hardware, you’ll enjoy an immersive flying experience that makes training even more vivid and realistic.

What is Nvidia CloudXR?

The NVIDIA CloudXR™ Suite—combined with the power of NVIDIA RTX™ GPUs and NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation (vWS)—enables XR applications to stream high-fidelity extended reality (XR) to devices over performant networks. By dynamically adjusting to network conditions, CloudXR maximizes image quality and frame rates to power next-level, wireless spatial experiences.

Tell me more!

When visionOS 26.4 launches this spring, it will support CloudXR 6.0, enabling you to connect your flight-sim hardware with Apple Vision Pro for an immersive flying experience. Once it’s available, a companion app will launch on the App Store for Apple Vision Pro. When you launch the app, the sim will automatically detect your Apple Vision Pro and stream X-Plane to your device.

By leveraging image detection through ARKit, the sim can reliably track cockpit positions, allowing you to seamlessly merge the physical and digital worlds. CloudXR also unlocks privacy-preserving foveated streaming, which delivers high-resolution visuals with low latency while keeping gaze data protected.
