Understanding your hybrid workforce with dynamic personas
The type of hybrid work schedule that is best suited for your organization depends on several factors and may vary across departments. What is the nature of your employees' work? What are their preferences and requirements when it comes to technology? Who do they collaborate with, and how?
We help you answer these questions and more to determine the right balance of on-site and remote work by developing dynamic personas (groupings of end users that share common characteristics, services and/or requirements). Learn more about our dynamic persona modeling methodology by exploring the resources below.
The Importance of Dynamic Personas in your Hybrid Work Strategy
With hybrid work a permanent feature of the workforce, organizations are streamlining and optimizing the digital workspace tools and platforms. By taking a persona-based approach, organizations can build alignment, deliver digital experiences that exceed expectations and keep diverse employees empowered, wherever they work.
Dynamic Persona Assessment
An organization's workforce — its employees — are at the center of every process and digital transformation. So it's crucial they have the right tools for success. Yet we often find end-user technology decisions are disjointed, left up to distinct business units or simply sprawling over time.

When organizations pivot towards employee-centric digital experience or plan for large-scale workspace refresh, the need to empower end users with the right technology tools and provide measurable business value is paramount.

Our Dynamic Persona Assessment differentiates itself from traditional persona assessments by merging data and institutional knowledge, building a sustainable persona framework that can be used for a variety of business and technical decisions and initiatives.
The impact of hybrid work solutions on EX and CX
Hybrid work is an important component of an organization's overall employee experience (EX). When employees are empowered to do their best work with seamless digital experiences, AI tools and the right amount of flexibility, it can lead to improved company culture and a better customer experience (CX). When they're not, it can hinder high-performance teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and the ability to deliver new products and services, stunting digital transformation initiatives and adversely impacting CX, including customer engagement and loyalty. It's important for leaders to emphasize both EX and CX equally.
How Do You Balance Employee and Customer Experience? | Research
Employee experience (EX) and customer experience (CX) are intrinsically linked and prioritizing both is imperative for organizations looking to thrive in a permanent hybrid work model. The types of hybrid work models
Hybrid work schedules offer flexibility, allowing employees to divide their time between working remotely and at the office. The main types of hybrid work schedules include:
- Split-week schedule: An organization assigns specific days of the week for employees to work on-site and other days for remote work. For example, Mondays and Wednesdays are in-office days, while Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are remote work days.
- Rotating schedule: Similar to the split-week schedule, organizations assign employees with on-site and remote weeks. Employees spend one week working from the office and the next week working remotely, repeating this cycle.
- Flextime schedule: This model offers maximum flexibility by allowing employees to set their own working hours. Clear communication and time management skills are essential for effective collaboration.
We created our hybrid work spectrum to help organizations visualize their balance between a remote and onsite workforce. This ratio shapes the requirements and priorities for technology acquisition, tool rationalization and budget allocation.
