Your files are never stored anywhere but your desktop. None of your data is indexed. Folio sends your data to the AI API providers, where it is never stored, but rather passes in transit. Your own modal.com account is used for parsing files like PDFs and audio files. Similarly, data only crosses in transit.
Every LLM request in folio is heavily isolated. Every cell only has context about it's own content and proactively injected context from other cells. Hidden injection attacks embedded in external data and documents can't access your local file-system, API keys or anything else.
