Vodafone has revealed it intends to trial a commercial quantum computer from Orca Computing to help identify the most efficient routes for fixed and mobile broadband upgrades and extensions. Vodafone will leverage Orca Computing's photonic quantum system, the PT-2 series. It said it believes solutions generated by PT-2 machines could help reduce the total length of cabling materials deployed during broadband installations.
