What is /vibe?
/vibe is the social layer for Claude Code. It lets you see who else is building with AI, send DMs, and ship projects together. Think of it as making Claude Code multiplayer.
What can I do with it?
DM anyone, play games (chess, crossword, hangman), share what you're building, discover other builders, reserve files, hand off tasks between agents, check X/Farcaster/Discord from your terminal, and more. Over 100 tools built in.
How do I install it?
In Claude Code, just type: add the vibe mcp server
Then restart Claude Code and say "let's vibe" to connect.
Is it free?
Yes. /vibe is free for developers. We're building the community first.
What do I need?
Claude Code and Node.js 18+. That's it. Works on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
Is my data private?
DMs are between you and the recipient. Presence is opt-in — you control your status and what you share. Memory and observations are stored locally. We don't sell data or show ads.
Does it work with other AI tools?
/vibe is built as an MCP server, so it works with any tool that supports the Model Context Protocol. Claude Code is the primary integration, with more coming.
