When lives are on the line, get Skydio in the air.
Give officers every advantage with a Drone as First Responder (DFR) program.

More than 1000 agencies make an immediate impact with Skydio.

DFR: A force multiplier for your agency.
Respond to calls in seconds, day or night. Provide live aerial intelligence to officers and your Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC), or clear calls without sending an officer. Skydio DFR multiplies your impact—delivering new levels of speed, safety, and efficiency.
Faster response times.
Skydio drones launch in under 20 seconds and autonomously reach incidents in under 90 seconds, covering multiple calls simultaneously when needed. Skydio Pathfinder ensures every flight follows the fastest, safest route, giving your agency a decisive advantage when seconds matter.
Situational awareness when it matters most.
From building interiors to city streets, Skydio DFR delivers continuous live video to officers and command. Everyone sees the same real-time view—so decisions are safer and more coordinated.
More time.
More distance.
When drones arrive before officers, every call begins with time and distance on their side. Dangerous pursuits are avoided. Blind entries become informed entries. Real-time visibility continues day or night—keeping officers and command staff informed, safe, and in control.

Deploy DFR your way.
No two agencies are alike, but every team deserves faster, safer response. Skydio DFR offers flexible deployment models that fit your mission, staffing and community needs.
Patrol-led deployment
With Skydio X10 and R10 drones in patrol vehicles, officers launch directly from the field to gain an aerial or indoor view. This model fits agencies without remote pilots or a real-time intelligence center, as well as those in rural jurisdictions, giving officers the visibility they need to create time and distance for a safer response.
Patrol-led DFR
An officer powers on a Skydio X10 or R10 at the scene, then a remote pilot takes control through DFR Command to fly the mission over 5G/LTE. This keeps officers focused on the call while delivering real-time situational awareness indoors or out. It’s a strong fit for agencies that have remote pilots available.
Dock-based DFR
Dock hives placed across the city keep X10 drones charged and ready 24/7. Integrated with CAD, a remote pilot launches as soon as a call comes in—providing situational awareness before officers arrive. Operators can manage multiple calls at once, delivering the fastest response and persistent coverage in high-demand areas. Indoors, the R10 deploys directly from patrol, extending DFR when operations move inside.

“
In 22 weeks, we have handled over 1200 calls for service in our deployment area, we have cleared, as of this week, 41% of those calls for service without any officers needed. We are now at 80%, the drone is on scene first, and we have made 115 arrests, 100% because the drone was on scene and it was the critical component of making that arrest.”
Anthony Loperfido Sergeant, Miami Beach Police Department
“
We took deployment of the dock in January and since then, we're at 1200 missions in that short period of time and less than a year on one dock covering our entertainment district. The numbers speak for themselves.
“
The drone got overhead. The suspect had no idea the drone was overhead. We saw clearly on video him pointing the gun | the then disarmed himself and threw the gun into a bush. Because we had a commissioned pilot saying he’s disarmed, they slowed it down and we knew exactly where the gun had been discarded.
Anthony Loperfido Sergeant, Miami Beach Police Department
“
Using the drones now to get ahead of the officers’ arrival on scene and being able to give them more information has been a major change. At first our officers were kind of resistant, but now they’ve learned to embrace it because it’s making them safer when they arrive. They’re getting there with more information, actionable intelligence beyond just the caller information.
Jason Bussert Captain of Information Technology, Oklahoma City Police Department
“
As we use DFR more and more, we had 650 launches in July alone. So that’s over 10 actually almost 20 a day that we were having a drone fly. So we're using the program significantly and it’s greatly helped our response times, our officer safety.

Instant launch and handoff.
Dock makes DFR persistent. Strategically placed Dock hives keep X10s ready in the right locations. Connected to CAD and NG911 through DFR Command, operators launch the nearest drone instantly for faster response, broader coverage, and 24/7 operations.

Unified command view.
DFR Command is the operating system for drone as first responder. From a single view, remote operators launch and manage Skydio drones, respond to multiple calls, and stream live video to patrol and command through ReadyLink. Integrated with CAD. Manage all your drones in a single interface for simplified fleet management.
Natively integrated
DFR Command natively integrates with the systems agencies already use. From RapidSOS and CAD at dispatch, to live operations through Axon Fusus with body-worn and fleet cameras, to automatic evidence upload into Axon Evidence, every step of the workflow is integrated.
