They flagged clear things to watch out for, like under-specifying the data model and glossing over failure modes, and suggested concrete improvements such as tightening the API contract and rethinking the datastore choice based on read/write patterns. What stood out most was their emphasis on back-of-the-envelope calculations and timeboxing, pushing me to ground decisions in real numbers and allocate time deliberately across each phase of the design. This was my first design system interview mock with sayz, and similar to the coding interview, it was the most helpful and valuable mock of this type I've had. In addition to the mock itself being good practice, he spent 20-30 minutes at the end going through what I did well, what I could improve, and providing me some great resources. The feedback was specific and actionable, and I am excited to put it into practice. sayz is more expensive than some of the other mock interviewers I'd booked with; however, the value I get out of these sessions makes it completely worth it. My panel is in a week, and I've booked up a few more mocks with sayz leading up to them. Highly recommend!
