Sitting in a room
Observing the interior
Introductions promptly made
Why do I feel inferior?

I'm not sure why I'm here
But my manager said to come
I want to ask a question
I'm afraid I might sound dumb

I guess I'll just take notes
As the convo twists and bends
I wonder if they'll all judge me
Once this meeting ends

Someone asked my question
That I refused to say
They all agreed it was on point
Sigh, if only I was brave

How are they so confident
And I'm so full of doubt
I fear I am an imposter
That they will figure out

Closing notes

  • I'm a senior and sometimes I feel this way
  • You're not alone
  • You worked hard to get to where you are
  • You know your shit
  • Believe in yourself and back yourself
  • You deserve to be where you are
End.
