San Joaquin County approves service charge increases for maintenance districts

Residents in parts of San Joaquin County will see higher service charges next year after the Board of Supervisors approved increases across several maintenance districts.

The largest first-year increase will affect the Rancho San Joaquin Maintenance District, where annual charges will rise from approximately $1,500 to $2,100, a 41% increase.

A similar increase of about 40% is planned for the Maurland Manor District, while the Spring Creek District will see a 21% hike.

The county said the districts need the additional funds to cover operating costs and build reserves to replace aging infrastructure.
