“Just buy a size up” This is a common thing we hear & sadly it’s not that easy. Regular shoes don’t offer enough space where sizing up will work, leaving you with shoes far too long for you #triphazard The illustration is taken from a number of sizing charts, it’s clear to see that A. The shoes don’t fit correctly & even more interesting B. To reduce the restriction of the shoe, you’ll need to size those shoes up, leaving you with shoes only suitable for snorkelling 🤿 Here’s where things get interesting (we think) 😆 Sizing up woman’s US 7 / UK 6.5 / EU 40 to a US 9 / UK 8.5 / EU 42 will give you just 0.5cm additional width across the mid foot (from the big toe joint) & nearly no additional extra room until you reach size 12 on the forefoot area. Examples of the size charts are common & we’ve gathered this information from 10 major, conventional shoe brands. So, instead of thinking “size up”, instead think “foot shaped”.. 🥰
