How I got 3,000 visitors to my landing page from growth hacking

I often used to see how people would get free traffic to their website, and it always seemed like magic to me. But now that I've finally experienced my own success with growth hacking, I want to share exactly what I did for my project justbeepit.com and maybe help someone.

I used a strategy I call "infinite marketing glitch" 🪄

imigur.com

  1. It started with an unsatisfying Product Hunt launch. We were able to get #1 of the day, but despite that the traffic was much lower than expected. We got around 800 visitors... (our launch as a proof)

  2. After those unsatisfying results I decided to write a blog post: "BulletProof Strategy to get #1 on Product Hunt." (This got us 1,200 visitors — more than the PH launch itself.) I posted it in multiple places: Twitter, Linkedin, Reddit, Indie Hackers, etc. Here is a post example that did well on Reddit.

  3. Once my post went viral, I posted on Twitter: "How a reddit post drove more traffic than the #1 spot on PH." This twitter post itself went viral, generating over 45k impressions (~450 visitors).

Twitter Post

  1. After my Twitter post went viral, I reposted the same post to Reddit and Indie Hackers. Here is the Reddit post (1,450 visitors).

The core idea is:

  1. You get any success (small or big) (example: first 100 users)

  2. You tell people how you got this success (this drives traffic)

  3. You tell people how you telling people about your success drove even more traffic (which drives more traffic)

  4. Keep doing this...

So if you have some cool success stories, don't keep them to yourself, tell about them to the world and those stories may bring you even more success 🙂
