Ireland must recuse itself from all digital issues during its Presidency of the EU Council.

Wednesday 22 AprilDr Johnny Ryan, Director of Enforce, Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), appears before the Oireachtas Committee on European Union Affairs today (Wednesday 22 April) as part of the Committee's preparations for Ireland's Presidency of the European Council.

In his statement, Dr Ryan will explain how Ireland’s GDPR regulatory sabotage has allowed dangerous algorithms to poison the mental health of children across the European Union. He will call for Ireland to recuse itself from all digital files during its Presidency of the European Council, unless it breaks with its yearslong approach to digital regulation.
