David and I officially settled the lawsuit we filed in 2021 against eBay and its former executives over the stalking and harassment campaign we endured in 2019 designed to stop our reporting. The landmark civil rights settlement includes $55.7 million in compensation and charitable commitments.

Our lawyer Chris Murphy summed up the reasons we battled it out for over 6 years when he wrote:

"This case was always about more than obtaining financial recovery. From the beginning, our clients wanted to uncover the truth, protect journalists and publishers, hold those responsible accountable, deter future corporate misconduct, and help ensure others would ... Read More

A seller reported the issue on Ecommerce EKG over the weekend, writing, "Second chance offers that I've sent appear in the ... Read More

eBay Outage Hits Tuesday Evening, July 14th

By: Ina Steiner

eBay buyers and sellers were unable to access the homepage for a short time on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2026, and had difficulty buying and selling. Reports of problems started coming in after 8:00 pm Eastern, with reports the eBay site was back to normal by about 8:45 pm.

People reporting problems on Down Detector show how significant the problems were during the narrow window on Tuesday for both buyers (one buyer was upset because they had been attempting to buy a limited edition collectible, another buyer was outbid due to the technical difficulties) and sellers who said they were ...
