How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Brilliant! Fabulous pictures that she already loves and coding lessons and samples she’ll grow into!

Brilliant! Fabulous pictures that she already loves and coding lessons and samples she’ll grow into!

Well, at two years old, I don't think granddaughter babygirl is quite your target audience just yet, but as my professional coding language for forty years was C I hope to nudge her into it as soon as possible (lol, I don't know where “facilitating and encouraging" becomes "indoctrination and grooming", but we'll see!) The book is brilliant! With a coding lesson and sample code on the left-hand page and a bright entertaining colour picture on the right-hand page it is fabulous. Already she is captivated and entranced by the pictures, and I hope to edge her slowly into the coding side of the book; the example code and descriptive text look very learner-friendly.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Way to Learn

Learning C programming is hard but this book made it fun and easy. I loved how quick it was and it is a great way to introduce C programming.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Good Concept

I love the concept of this book learning to code with nursery rhymes. For more novice coders you might want to explain a little bit more where they need to go in order to even start the coding of Jack Be Nimble. I know there is a section at the end that explains this, but it may be more helpful in the beginning.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, but will it work?

This is a clever, ambitious way to teach C to children. Each nursery rhyme or fairy tale introduces one or more concepts of C programming. There is a lot of text to explain each concept. As someone who hasn't taught or witness programming lessons for kids, it's a little hard to know whether this is an effective method or if it's too much for them.

The programs also don't do a lot; in fact, a child might go, "Why? What does this really accomplish?" But as you go through new concepts such as entering data, I feel like the purpose of each program becomes clearer.

I'd like to see someone use this book with their kids in order to truly know how effective it is.
