A US judge has ruled that Meta deliberately allowed its systems to wipe key evidence at the heart of its legal stoush with billionaire Andrew Forrest, a major loss that could scupper the social media giant’s defence against claims that it lets scams run rampant on its platforms.
The Fortescue chairman is suing the Facebook operator in California over scams that use his likeness to advertise fraudulent investment and cryptocurrency schemes.
