"welcome aboard. this service calls everywhere, twice."

A night shift on the roof of a train that has no end.

Real-time roguelike, one dimension, drawn entirely in a terminal font. You are the amber @. The train is a ring — its head is welded to its tail — and the weld comes undone only at the last station on your ticket, if you get there. The wildlife on the roof, fourteen species of it, is officially a weather condition.

Every so often a trolley comes round with three things on it. You keep one. The two you turn down are not thrown away: they are handed to the next passenger, who boards, keeps them, rises through the grades alongside you, and eventually comes looking for you with the gun you said no to. Everything you refuse is what you fight.

You will die. Dying still counts as a night worked, and the job opens up as the nights add up. Your first night is kept gentle, and it shows you the hook once — one trolley, one stores van, one colleague who keeps what you refuse. It is your induction, and it is one shift long.

CONTROLS — tap A/D to set a heading (movement latches — you do not hold keys). S stands still, which is a move: your boiler refills fastest and your gun reloads only while stopped. Q/W/E spend steam. F takes what is in front of you. Your weapon fires itself; your job is where to stand and what to spend.

What the service carries: four members of staff to play, each with their own plant · twenty guns from five manufacturers, every works with one rule you can learn · sixty souvenirs in four families, with set effects at three and six · fourteen species of officially-weather · seven named obstructions on the platforms · eight stations and a terminus. The roster, the longer tickets and the elites arrive as your nights add up — the job opens as you are authorised.

Plays in the browser. Windows, Linux and macOS downloads are there too — the desktop builds are unsigned, so Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen the first time. That is the absence of a $300/year certificate, not a virus: More info → Run anyway.
