NVIDIA GeForce 616.00 adds native Windows 11 on Arm support for RTX Spark

NVIDIA has published its first native GeForce graphics driver for Windows 11 on Arm. GeForce 616.00 is labeled as a Developer Preview and currently targets Microsoft’s Surface RTX Spark Dev Box rather than consumer laptops. The driver was included in recent NVIDIA developer forum post. This is therefore not an OEM driver copied from an unreleased laptop.
What’s inside
The Arm64 installation package contains a file named nv_surface_woa.inf. This file lists supported hardware identifiers and confirms two RTX Spark N1X graphics configurations. One uses a Blackwell GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores, while the second has 5,120 CUDA cores.
These specifications match the N1X 675 and N1X 650 configurations previously reported by VideoCardz. The full version combines 20 Arm CPU cores with 48 Streaming Multiprocessors. The smaller model uses an 18-core CPU and 40 SMs. Both configurations support up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory.
© VideoCardz.comThe package also lists an unnamed “NVIDIA Desktop Device” and several NVIDIA NPU identifiers based on the company’s Deep Learning Accelerator architecture. The desktop entry may be associated with the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box or another compact RTX Spark system, but the driver does not identify the product.
Microsoft introduced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box in June. It is a compact development system with 128GB of unified memory and a 100W power envelope. NVIDIA and its partners are also preparing RTX Spark laptops, including the Surface Laptop Ultra and Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n.
GeForce 616.00 remains a development driver without WHQL certification. Consumer RTX Spark systems will require later drivers with broader device support before they begin shipping.
