NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 with 50% more memory

NVIDIA has now formally confirmed that the RTX PRO 5000 72GB Blackwell is generally available. The announcement comes via an NVIDIA blog post, after the company had already updated the RTX PRO 5000 product page to show both 48GB and 72GB options.

Availability is listed through partners including Ingram Micro, Leadtek, Unisplendour, and xFusion, with wider availability through global system builders starting early next year. NVIDIA still has not shared pricing for the 72GB model.

Specs on NVIDIA’s own materials keep pointing to the 72GB card being a straight VRAM bump rather than a different GPU. The official datasheet lists 14,080 CUDA cores for both the 48GB and 72GB variants, and the same 300W total board power.

The confusing part is memory interface width. NVIDIA’s RTX PRO 5000 datasheet still states a 512-bit memory interface, while also listing 1,344 GB/s memory bandwidth. A 1,344 GB/s figure cleanly matches 28 Gbps memory on a 384-bit bus, which is also what third-party reporting has described for RTX PRO 5000. If 512-bit were correct, the same 1,344 GB/s bandwidth would imply 21 Gbps memory instead.

NVIDIA still has not published any pricing for the RTX PRO 5000 72GB. The blog post and product materials confirm availability, but they do not include an MSRP or partner list prices, so it is not clear where the 72GB model will land versus the 48GB card. The 48GB version has been showing up around $4,250 to $4,600, while RTX PRO 6000 models are listed above $8,300, but the 72GB gap between them is still unknown.
