[2/5] Why? Toolchains got thicker (MCPs, routers, orchestration), but most agents still don’t know me or my purpose. They juggle memory; abstractions galore. RAG was one thing but MCP inside an MCP inside and MCP 😵💫. But the kicker is it works, it keeps context focused.
[3/5] We can't live on context alone, this gets us closer to "intelligent" agents that build, speak, do things. Look at the recent wave of AI coding agents from Codex, Curosor, Factory AI and others. But this is still hacking the way forward.
[4/5] Intent Engineering starts from outcomes: What am I trying to achieve, it's not human in the loop but agent in the loop. We can start with my needs/outcomes and build intelligent optimizations of agents that self-correct for me.
