Microsoft's backwards compatibility is insane. Windows 11 will happily execute a binary compiled **30 years ago** (18 Aug 93).
How is this news? The exe is machine code written for x86 processors. The possibility to do this is more of a requirement of the processor and not windows. It would be news if windows 11 did not allow you to run machine code.
Yeah, that is crazy. Had to try my CableGUi! from 2000, and it worked like a charm on Windows Server 2019!
