    But in the end, I decided I could no longer knowingly work for a company that refused to consider the ethical ramifications of its software. 2/5

    I’m skeptical that MongoDB will change their mind on this, but I want to speak up for a particular reason: had I known about MongoDB taking ICE’s money, I would not have signed my offer letter. 3/5

    While I doubt that they intentionally deceived me, I still feel like I was tricked into violating my principles. And I do not want anyone else to experience the rush of disappointment and shame I felt when I learned exactly where my paycheck was coming from. 4/5

    If MongoDB wants to continue to work with ICE, that is their decision. But one of their core values is “Own What You Do.” So if they’re going to take dirty money, they should own it. #NoTechForICE 5/5
