today, we're introducing self diagnostics: the first ever way for agents to proactively self-report issues they encounter.
welcome to the future of agent observability.
giving your agent the ability to call home is as easy as setting a boolean
raindrop analyzes every report, filters out the noise, and alerts you when critical issues arise.
for years, agent observability meant spending weeks making eval sets that break every time a new model comes out.
~1 year ago, @raindrop_ai introduced a better way - tiny classifiers that detect anomalies in user/agent interactions.
but a lot has changed since then.
agents have gotten a lot smarter. they often understand themselves better than you do.
critically, they also have access to debugging context that is not even available post-facto (e.g. reasoning traces are encrypted by OpenAI/Anthropic)
the best place to detect and diagnose
self-diagnostics injects a dedicated tool for reporting issues.
out of the box, there are 4 broad-categories of problems that agents can choose from.
but you can also easily add your own for literally anything. (internally, we've been hacking this in really fun ways...)
we defined the last generation of agent observability. today is our first step in defining the next one.
a lot more will be coming soon.
also - we're hiring! dm me if you'd like to join a crazy team that is actually building this future.
