    If you're an early members of Shapes Inc,

    @nooriefyi

    just leaked all your email addresses for the world to see...1,000 email addresses in the most stupid fucking way possible...by CCing them; and who knows how many more emails went out. Screenshots to follow

    Hey

    @WumpusCentral

    &

    @DiscordPreviews

    you take requests? LMAO. probably something worth sharing, no attribution or credit needed just wanna keep people safe and most early members are from Discord.

    Blurring email addresses. How could they be this ignorant. It's literally not that hard to do this. Thank god for

    @NordPass

    and their email masking so my email wasn't leaked. I'm so glad

    @discord

    banned this app from their platform.

    I'm so tempted to do one reply all.

    I genuinely have no clue how or why

    @lightspeedvp

    funded people who can't even safely or securely send out marketing blasts without violating THOUSANDS of users private emails. I wonder how many many of these emails fall under GDPR and violate it (cc

    @EUCouncil

    on that one)

    Article 25 of the GDPR: gdpr-info.eu/art-25-gdpr/ IMO, not a lawyer, even just leaking 1,000 email addresses could land them in hot water if people from the EU want to pursue it as a GDPR violation and I think they should.

    user avatar

    I have no idea as I'm genuinely not a lawyer and only have a basic understanding but I implore anyone who's in the EU and got this email to please contact whoever you need and report this as a potential GDPR violation.

    @anushkmittal

    and

    @nooriefyi

    need to be held accountable.

    They have the ability to send notifications on their talk platform and they're more than happy to announce new premium engines...but hmm, look at that...no data leak notification. Weird huh...

  • user avatar

    Shared this on Reddit and mods locked it to prevent people from pushing it farther to the top. It was only acknowledged was it started getting views and comments lmao. I don't know how their business would even be profitable or why people would invest.

  • user avatar

    They made a blog post about it, but negated to share that in any of their social platforms...or send out an email blast...or post in their discord...or post in their crappy talk app in the announcements channel?

    user avatar

    THEY DON'T EVEN USE AUTOMATED EMAILS? Holy hell, I didn't realize they were THAT bad at basic website management...and somehow they got funding?

    user avatar

    "Due to a configuration error," translated "don't know what we're doing." They even use Mailgun as both the records and the SPF IP link back to Mailgun. How do you mess up THIS bad.
