So THIS is why GM said it will no longer support Apple CarPlay from 2026?! And build their own Android experience. Because they don't want Apple to take over all the car's screens as Apple demands it does so. From the US vs Apple lawsuit:

A friend in the car industry said that the next version of Car Play *supposedly* wanted access to all sensory data. Their company worries Apple collects this otherwise private data to build their own car - then put them out of business. And how CarPlay is this "Trojan horse."
And why this is a bad idea: What happens when CarPlay messes up and causes an accident? Who is responsible? Apple? (surely they would say "no.") It's the car company fully liable. They would be silly to let Apple take over software w no liablity. x.com/fuzzoli/status…
