Truth DAO
Less Trust, More Truth.
Born out of a growing need for transparency and clarity, our mission is to foster a more open, transparent, and standardized governance culture. We believe the deeper the community’s involvement, the healthier the ecosystem becomes.
Our Vision & Mission
Our Principles
Pursue Truth
Always pursue truth through openness and transparency.
Respectful Discussion
Foster a culture of respectful, fact-based discussion.
Long-Term Vision
Prioritize the long-term interests of the Polkadot community.
Our Mission
Define Priorities
Help the Polkadot DAO define priorities at each stage, ensuring limited resources support the highest-impact proposals.
Establish Standards
Establish clear and transparent standards to improve the overall quality of OpenGov proposals and ensure funding decisions are fair and well-reasoned.
Broaden Participation
Bring more DOT holders into OpenGov, enabling broader participation and helping to build a stronger, more sustainable Polkadot DAO.
How We Operate
- Engage with key contributors across the ecosystem to align on funding priorities.
- Continuously improve and maintain transparent, measurable evaluation standards — reducing bias and subjectivity in the OpenGov process.
- Provide guidance and consultation to proposal authors.
Governance Framework
Supported Proposals
Support for core, reusable, and composable infrastructure like Core Protocol Components, Dev Frameworks, Node Support, and General-Purpose tools. Must be open-source public goods.
Grounds for Rejection
- Proposals with unclear or vague OKRs.
- Proposals with poorly justified budgets or inflated work estimates.
- Proposals listing hourly rates over $100 or without clear role breakdowns.
- Proposals from teams with a track record of poor execution or no clear ROI.
