Trudeau's fake MacBook photo draws hilarious reaction online

Is Justin Trudeau capable of keeping it real? The PM has been accused of being a fake feminist over his own Kokanee groping past and his treatment of women while in government, and his wearing of blackface had many question his claims of fighting racism.

But using a fake MacBook to try to look cool?
The Liberal Party posted photos showing Trudeau kicking off a training session for party volunteers. Astute Toronto Sun journalist Bryan Passifiume noticed something unusual about Trudeau’s laptop and posted to Twitter about it — the reaction from readers is hilarious.
Why is Canada’s Prime Minister pretending his boring old HP laptopis a trendy MacBook in official @liberal_party photos?— 𝘽𝙧𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙪𝙢𝙚 (@BryanPassifiume) May 18, 2021The Apple logo sticker isn’t even on straight, and you can see the laptop’s HP logo underneath #cdnpoli pic.twitter.com/uhO0Zq0Bo3
Passifiume is right, there is nothing authentic with this laptop from the wonky Apple logo sticker to the non-Apple charge cord. For some reason, Team Trudeau wanted to make it look like he was on a cool MacBook instead of a dodgy old (but reliable) HP PC laptop.

The Liberal Party is obviously a little sensitive about the online Twitter mockery. Braeden Caley, the senior director of communications for the Liberal Party, took to Twitter to defend his boss.
Hard-hitting sleuthing! 🧐— Braeden Caley 🇨🇦 (@braedencaley) May 18, 2021A team laptop borrowed for a moment in the LPC volunteer hub, for a drop-in to thank volunteers virtually during successful by-elections early last fall.
Some especially keen Apple fans there just brought some ‘real change’ to the look of a team’s 💻 https://t.co/ALxpoHmLuT
One thing is clear, despite making it sound like this was no big deal, the Liberals are clearly worried about their brand on this one.
