Chrome extension for Todoist
Todoist, upgraded.
Your sub-task trees, nested inline where Todoist flattens them. A focus timer on today's work. Todoist in the font and size you want. One extension, and the list keeps growing.
One-time payment · No subscription · Free tier included
Todoist flattens. Todowing restores.
Your hierarchy already exists; Todoist doesn't show it in date and filter views. Same account, same tasks.
WITHOUT TODOWING
11 sub-tasks sit under these two tasks. Todoist shows none of them.
Every upgrade, one extension
Todowing started with nested sub-tasks. Fonts and text size came next, then Board cards, a hide-done toggle, and focus sessions. The list keeps growing.
YOUR SUB-TASKS, BACK
Inline, four levels deep
Sub-tasks appear inline under their parent in Today, Upcoming, Boards, Filters and Labels, nesting intact.
Complete without leaving
Check off or reopen any sub-task right in the list, without opening the task.
Collapse that survives
Fold a parent once and it stays folded, even through Todoist's constant view rebuilds.
Progress you can see
Todowing merges completed sub-tasks back from the archive (30-day window), so checklists show what's done.
Recurring starts fresh
When a recurring task recurs, Todowing reopens its completed sub-tasks, so each cycle starts with a fresh checklist.
Hide what's done
One toggle hides done sub-tasks. A finished parent with open work under it stays put, so nothing active disappears. Part of the unlock.
BEYOND SUB-TASKS
See the rest of it work
Three more upgrades, each shown doing the thing it does — in Todoist, in the extension, start to finish.
Focus on a few things
Pick what you're working on next from Today and start a timer. A card counts down beside your list, holding those tasks and their sub-tasks, and one session runs across every tab you have open.
Part of the unlock.
Pick your font
Browse fifty Google Fonts, each rendered in its own face, and pick one. The whole Todoist app restyles — including the sub-task rows Todowing puts there.
Part of the unlock.
Text size, your call
Scale Todoist's text from 85% to 200% in steps of 5, whichever suits your eyes. Headings, tasks, descriptions and sub-task rows all move together.
Free for everyone.
More on the way. Todowing is a growing set of upgrades. The next one lands in this same extension, and if it's paid, your unlock already covers it.
Pay once. Use it forever.

From the maker
I use Todoist every day, and the Today view kept showing me a fraction of what I'd planned. My checklists were there, hidden. So I wrote a userscript that put them back, for myself at first. Todowing is that tool, rebuilt as a proper extension. It still runs on my own Today view every day.
Questions, answered
Is this a subscription?+
No. You pay $9.99 once and get a license key that unlocks the extension forever. There is nothing to renew or cancel.
What does the free tier include?+
Every nesting feature (inline nesting, completing, collapsing, recurring resets) plus the text-size slider, limited to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task. The unlock removes the limit and opens focus sessions, the font picker, and the hide-done toggle.
Do future upgrades cost extra?+
No. New upgrades land in this same extension, and the unlock you already bought covers every paid one.
Which views does it work in?+
Today, Upcoming, and any Filter or Label view — the places Todoist renders tasks flat. Plus every board, anywhere in Todoist, including your projects' boards. A project's list view already nests on its own, so Todowing leaves it alone.
What if your license server goes down?+
You stay unlocked. Validation fails open: only an explicit "revoked" answer from the server locks a key. An outage or an offline day changes nothing.
Do I need Todoist Pro?+
No. Todowing works with any Todoist plan in the Todoist web app on Chrome.
Private by design.
