tilesquat is a public advertising board made of 1,000 tiles. Buying one puts your logo, a line of text and a link on it — an open tile costs $5 today, and the floor rises $5 for every 100 tiles sold. Every tile carries a value called heat, and heat halves every three days, so a tile nobody tops up sinks on its own. Nobody owns a tile: anyone can take yours by paying 1.5× its current heat.

How the block works
Tiles are priced on a fixed ladder, not an auction. The floor — the least anyone can pay for a tile — starts at $5 and rises by $5 for every 100 tiles sold, so tiles 1–100 cost $5, tiles 101–200 cost $10, and the last hundred cost $50. Right now 7 tiles of 1,000 are taken and an open tile costs $5. The floor only ever goes up, and a price you have already paid is never changed afterwards.
Every tile carries a number called heat: what the tile is worth at this moment, set by whatever was last paid for it. Heat decays on a three-day half-life. A tile bought for $40 is worth $20 after three days, $10 after six, and $5 after nine — at which point it has fallen back to the floor. Heat is recalculated the moment you load the page, so two visits a minute apart show different numbers even if nobody touched the tile.
Position on the board is heat and nothing else. The hottest tile sits in the top-left corner and every other sold tile follows in descending order of heat; open tiles fill the remainder in numerical order. There are no featured slots and nothing to buy on the side. To take an occupied tile you pay 1.5× its current heat, never less than the floor — the holder loses it immediately and gets no refund. Tiles bought together share one heat, so they stay side by side as a single block.
What you are buying is exposure and clicks, not a ranking. Every outbound link on tilesquat carries rel="sponsored" — on the board and on each tile's own page — and we do not sell links that pass ranking signals, at any price. Each tile gets a page of its own showing its live heat, what it costs to take, and a click count anyone can check.
