Some interesting observations are:
- As there has been a significant growth of our dataset over the last months some part of volatility in the data may be caused by our increasing dataset rather than by a general trend.
- macOS 15.6 had a share of about 63% as of end of August 2025. The share has since declined to 8.17% at the end of January 2026.
- The share of macOS 26.0 has been volatile. It was at over 47% during October and has since then declined to 2.38% as of end of January 2026.
- macOS 26.1 had a share of around 65% in the first week of December 2025 but has decreased to 5.60% at the end of January 2026.
- The share of macOS 26.2 has increased considerably over the past two months and was at 50.35% at the end of January 2026.
