The Malaysian company formerly known as MyEG, Zetrix AI Bhd recently introduced NurAI, which is a Shariah‑compliant AI chatbot. Available for free for now (paid plans start from RM20 to RM200 per month and are coming soon), you can download it for both Android and iOS.

Zetrix partnered with China’s DeepSeek to create NurAI. It is designed to support Malay, Indonesian, Arabic, and English, offering guidance rooted in Islamic values. The app is still in Open Beta and covers areas like lifestyle, legal matters, health, finance, and halal living.

It is supervised by a board of Islamic scholars from Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. While they aim to expand NurAI to other Muslim markets, the current plans include integrating it into Malaysia’s Shariah-based courts. NurAI’s training dataset includes historical religious manuscripts. No news yet of any endorsement from Malaysia’s religious government bodies though.
