During this time, customers may be unable to access the VAT registration, claim VAT enrolment, and VAT view and change services. We can confirm the issue impacting some South African customers trying to log into Xero has been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. This was caused by third-party supplier issues. As a cloud software service, we work with a range of third-party suppliers to help deliver the best experience we can for our customers and partners.

Inland Revenue (IR) is completing scheduled maintenance from 6:00 am (NZDT), Saturday 6 December to 8:30 am (NZDT), Monday 8 December 2025. During this time you will be unable to file GST returns, income tax returns or payday filings to IRD from Xero. You can complete filings to IRD as normal from 8:30 am, Monday 8 December. Please note, you can continue to run and view GST, income tax returns and payruns during this time.
