Unbound Slop: A Manifesto
We are passionate game developers and we got fed up.
We got fed up with doom-scrolling through soulless content that got prompted into existence. We got fed up with the tech bros telling us that human creativity is over. We got tired of the narrative that the future of art is just "prompt and repeat”. We decided to go past the slot machine where you pull a lever and hope for something shiny.
So we built Unbound Slop.
We built it because we wanted to show where we think AI should go from here.
Our Stance
1. The Experiment
It isn't built to disrupt your workflow. It's made to bring back the feeling of play. Think of Slop less like a piece of software and more like an interactive experiment, something you step into and mess around with. It’s designed for the curious, the skeptics, and anyone who wants to see what happens when you stop fearing the tech and start molding it.
2. The "Sloppiness Slider"
We reject the binary choice between "doing it all by hand" and "letting the AI do it all." We built a Sloppiness Slider that lets you decide. You decide if you want the AI to strictly follow your sculpt or if you want it to hallucinate wildly.
3. Transparency
We know everyone is suspicious of "free" AI experiments. Usually, that means "we are harvesting your data."
The Reality: We aren't harvesting your data to train models. Your models and images live in your browser’s local database, not on our servers.
The Cost: We have a stack of Google Cloud GPU credits (thank you Google) that we can share with you.
The Ask: The only thing we want in return is your feedback. There is a survey button. Tell us if this feels right. Tell us if this is a future you can get on board with.
4. Temporary by Design
This experiment is a part of a set of new creative technologies we've been building. Come join the conversation!
