It is really easy to build your own and save lots of money. Not only do they work the same, in some cases they are even faster than those you buy from the major manufacturers.

In the video below, I explain how to make a CFexpress card using just a few off the shelf components. The CFexpress standard was created with the idea in mind that existing and very robust technologies would be the foundation for this type of memory. These components are already in use in computers and tablets everywhere.

The first image is a benchmark of our home made CFexpress card. The second image is a ProGrade 128 GB CFexpress card. AS you can see, our homemade card matches or bests it across the board.
