Apparently, as inflation increased in Pakistan to over 30% between 2022 and 2024, the crime surged along with. I am not arguing that there is a causal link between the two, but what may be other reasons? Better reporting of crimes? Duplication of crime data? I am not sure, but the data was interesting. Another interesting question shall be that the countries that have faced massive inflation surge, did the crime increase along the same lines?
