Regional demand and supply

The latest metric available under each country's public reporting system is shown. Ratios and ranks are comparable only within the same country and method.

Country · regionDemandA public metric used to represent electricity use (demand) for each region. Demand covers large energy users, not all regional load. Supply is renewable generation.

Time scales and populations differ across the five countries. Values must not be ranked directly across countries.

Sources, scope, and updates

Facility and company relationships use primary public records; linear features use separately stored public OSM snapshots.

03 · Governance

Publication, security, and inference policy

Public value comes from explicit evidence and disclosure boundaries, not from maximizing coordinate detail.

    OSM source and derived data remain in a separate schema with ODbL attribution.

    We do not reconstruct unpublished transmission, pipeline, or substation locations through spatial inference.

  3. 03

    Physical connections and proximity inferences are recorded separately, with verification methods visible.

  4. 04

    IXP and operator relationships use primary public materials, and every record links to a dated source version.

The static site is public on GitHub Pages; read-only records are served by the Supabase public API.
