We’ve entered the era of mass-produced, LLM generated dev content. Articles that still demand time and attention from the reader, but take no time or effort to create. I now have to dig through mountains of plastic garbage to find original, human thoughts.
It’s annoying in general, but it’s especially bad with agentic coding.
Coding agents are a big shift in how software gets built, but the discourse around them is unbearable. Most of what I see is either hype / doom scenarios, ragebait or marketing (mostly ai generated). This leads to very bad decision making - like pushing token quotas, tokenmaxxing, etc... I want the boring, practical human articles from people who actually do real work with agents.
AI is just a tool. It’s not a sacred technology. Like every tool it will get shaped by people who use it for real work. The useful writing is not whether ai replaces devs, it’s how experienced devs actually use ai. But this information currently gets lost in an ocean of slop and outrage.
