Google sufficiently alleged SerpApi LLC’s product is primarily designed to and did circumvent its SearchGuard barrier to prevent unauthorized scraping of Google Search results, but lacked evidence that SearchGuard was enacted with the required sign off from copyright owners to protect their works on their behalf, according to a Monday order in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
