So how do I get a free map?
The Founding Member map comes free with an annual subscription. You only pay for shipping and handling which will go 100% towards covering that cost. After you sign up, you’ll get an email with a special code to get the map at our store. That’s when you’ll see the exact shipping and handling fee, depending on where you live. If you’d prefer to support as a founding member and not receive a map, that is of course, ok too.
How does the pricing work?
We’ve tried our best to keep the Founding Member price as low as we can. This is because we want this community to be accessible while we build it with you. Over time, as the community grows and we find new ways to make it even better, the price will probably increase a bit. If that happens, we’ll give you plenty of heads-up.
Do I have to participate if I sign up?
No. Lurking is a core part of the ecosystem here. Many of you said you’re joining to quietly observe how this creator-led, community-driven journalism thing actually works, or to get the exclusive content. Totally fine. Participate if you want, snoop if that’s your vibe. Just help us keep the space safe and respectful.
Can I join for free today and upgrade later?
Yes. Contributors will always get to peek behind the curtain and see how this whole community-driven journalism experiment works - that part will always be free. If you ever want to upgrade to a paid membership, you can do it whenever.
How will the platform change over time?
We’re building this community from scratch, and if you join early, you’ll help shape what it becomes. Your support (showing up, contributing, or becoming a paid member) is what makes it possible for us to build new shows, take on more ambitious videos, and keep improving the tool that powers this whole community-driven journalism experiment. Everything, including the exclusive content, will evolve and adapt over time as we learn together what actually works, and what you all actually want.
