How it Works

Multi-Agent AI Pipeline

Traceformer.io uses a three-phase orchestrator pipeline: planning, parallel evidence retrieval, and synthesis. This structure maximizes review quality while minimizing token and model cost.

Planner

  • Parses your complete KiCad project or Altium netlist file
  • Identifies circuit subsystems (power, comms, sensors, etc.)
  • Creates evidence requirements for each subsystem

Workers

  • Run in parallel for speed (up to 10 simultaneous)
  • Each specializes in one subsystem
  • Search datasheets for relevant specs
  • Use lightweight models to minimize cost

Merger

  • Receives all evidence from workers
  • Synthesizes findings into structured output
  • Produces actionable recommendations

Features

Designed for Engineers

Configurable schematic review settings - customize AI models, token limits, and design rules for KiCad and Altium netlists

Configurable Instructions & Settings

Configurable review parameters. Set, token limits, design rules, and more.

Multi-provider AI support - choose between OpenAI GPT-5.2 and Anthropic Claude models for schematic analysis

Multi-Provider Support

Choose from OpenAI or Anthropic models for your reviews.

Automatic datasheet retrieval - AI fetches component datasheets from Digi-Key and Mouser for schematic validation

Automatic Datasheets Retrieval

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What results can I expect?

Every finding cites specific datasheet pages so you can verify the reasoning yourself. The free tier lets you test with your own designs—try one where you already know an issue exists.

How do you use customer data?

We use your designs to run analysis and essential operations (diagnostics, support, compliance). We don't train AI models on your content, and all IP remains yours. For improvement, we only use anonymous aggregate metrics—never your actual designs. Details in our

Privacy Policy.

How do you prevent hallucinations?

Every finding must cite specific datasheet pages as evidence. If the model can't find supporting documentation, the check goes into "Missing Info" rather than being reported as a verified issue. This lets you distinguish between evidence-backed findings and items needing manual review.

Does this replace traditional ERC/DRC?

No. This tool focuses on datasheet and application-level issues, not electrical rule checking or functional simulation. ERC/DRC and simulation are still required.
