Seven questions to work out whether your side project should be killed, pivoted, maintained or sold. Answer them honestly. Nothing is sent anywhere.

I built it for myself. Dozens of projects over the years, some killed, some sold, a few still going.

When did you last touch it? Be honest.

How many hours a month does it demand? Count the boring ones too.

Does it make money? The one that decides most of this.

Do you still give a damn about it? Nobody is reading this but you.

Is it stressing you out?

If it did not exist, would you start it today? The question people dodge.

How complex is the stack? Complexity is maintenance pain with extra steps.
