Statement Regarding the Platform Retirement
Centriq was built with a clear mission: to simplify how homeowners organize, maintain, and protect the products that matter most in their lives. Since our founding in 2015, we are proud to have supported hundreds of thousands of homeowners, professionals, and industry partners across North America.
Following changes in ownership and long-term strategic direction, a decision was made by Centriq’s parent company to retire the Centriq platform. This decision was not made lightly. It reflects broader business considerations following Centriq’s acquisition by Elids Group Partnership in 2021 and the subsequent acquisition of both entities by PartsTown Holdings in 2022. As of 2025, Centriq is not owned or operated by any of its founding members or the original leadership team.
The decision followed a change in ownership and strategic direction and was not the result of a long-planned wind-down. The retirement has been managed with a focus on data security, contractual responsibilities, and compliance requirements.
We understand that any product sunset can be disruptive, and we sincerely appreciate the trust users placed in Centriq over the years. While the Centriq platform itself is being retired as of January 2026, its underlying technology and data are being transitioned as part of a sale to a third party, ensuring the work and innovation behind the platform continue forward.
We are grateful to our users, partners, and employees who helped make Centriq what it was, and we remain committed to closing this chapter with transparency, professionalism, and respect for the community we served.
Your Questions Answered Here
Why is Centriq shutting down?
Centriq was started in 2015 with the belief that homeowners deserved an easier, clearer way to understand and care for their homes. Over the past decade, millions of manuals have been uploaded, countless properties have been organized, and an incredible community has grown around that mission. After a decade of service, the team responsible for the original vision has moved on and the platform has been sold. About Centriq.
What is Centriq?
If you received the email but don’t recall what Centriq is, click here. We were required to notify you so that you have the option to opt out. You may have received access to the platform as part of a property inspection or home handover.
How long will I be able to access my account?
Your account will remain accessible for the full 30-day notice period.
How do I save my files?
We do not offer an automated export of all data. Follow the guidelines below to save and retain your information.
- Select Export My Inventory from the menu to receive a report of all of the items in your account. This report includes all of your models and serial numbers, and other details about your items. The report does not provide an export of all content you have stored on the platform.
- Download a PDF version of the items in your account (Property Insights Report). This report includes the stock images, models, serial numbers and manufacturing dates. It does not provide an export of all content that you have stored on the platform. Click here to enable access to the PDF report and to review instructions on how to generate it. After generating the report, refresh then look for the report under My Property Documents.
- If you have multiple properties, select Export Property History to download all of the property information. If you don’t see the option, Click here to enable access. This report just has a list of all the properties in your account along with relevant information such as number of assets and when it was created.
- Select Search (mobile) or Files (browser-app) from the menu to access an all-in-one view of everything in your app.
- Manually download your personal documents, receipts, images, videos, and other uploaded files directly from the app. From the browser app, you can right-click on any content and store it to your computer. To be clear, the stock images, documents and other information that were added for your items are not intended to be downloaded. Any information that you added yourself can be saved from the right click menu.
- Proactively delete your account by accessing Account from the menu and selecting Delete Account.
Generated Report / No Email Received
If you generated an inventory export but have not received the email, please be sure to check your spam folder. Look for an email with the subject: “Inventory export for your account in Centriq“. If you don’t find the email, please try again before contacting support. Our system may be overloaded due to the number of users generating their reports.
After you click the download button look for a file called Centriq Inventory Export (2025-[date]).csv in your download folder on your computer or elsewhere stored on your machine. It downloads the file and saves it. It may not open it until you find the file that was saved.
Parts, Manuals, & Other Content Requests
We will not be supporting content of any kind during the shut down period. Please try doing a google search for [model number] [content type] to find what you need online.
Who is buying the platform, and will there be a new app?
We are unable to disclose the buyer information at this time, however, you will be notified if a new app or platform is released in the future as long as you do not delete your account or opt out of sharing your contact information.
The purchasing entity is NOT continuing Centriq services. The platform as it is is being completely retired, and you will lose access to all of your information effective January 31.
